Browser Configuration

There are several popular web browsers available for viewing websites. Usually the default installation of these browsers will allow Go Get Me A ... to open other sites without any problem. Sometimes, though, a browser option may need changing to make things work or provide a better experience.

Also, most browsers allow multiple website pages to be displayed, each in their own tab, rather than having to load the whole browser each time. The latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera all feature tabbed browsing.

Our site relies on javascript beng enabled in the browser. Most browsers have this enabled by default. However, if sites do not open when you do a search then it is likely that your browser options are stopping javascript from working. Please see below for your browser type recomendations.

If you cannot get our site to work then email us at help@gogetmea.com and we'll be happy to help.

Firefox - website

Firefox v2 comes with tabbed browsing as standard.

Choose the menu Tools / Options and select the "Tabs" tab. Check that for "New pages should be opened in:" the radio button "a new tab" is selected.

In the menu Tools / Options select the "Content" tab and ensure "Enable JavaScript" is ticked. You can still disable all the options in the "Advanced..." window.

You can also Download the Context Menu add-in to be able to do a Go Get Me A ... search just by right clicking the mouse on any website!

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer v7 supports tabbed browsing, whereas all earlier version do not.

From the menu Tools / Internet Options ... choose the General tab and in the Tabs section press the Settings ... button.
Ensure the Enable Tabbed Browsing checkbox is ticked.
In the "When a pop-up is encountered" group box, ensure the "Always open pop-ups in a new tab" radio button is selected.

Whilst still in the Options window check that pop-up blocking is allowing pop-ups from our site. Select the Privacy tab and in the Pop-up Blocker section press the Settings ... button. Enter www.gogetmea.com in the "Address of Web site to allow:" field and press the Add button. Then press the Close button. This will allow Go Get Me A ... to open each of the selected sites to search.

Finally, in the Security tab, press the Custom Level ... button. Under the Scripting heading (near the bottom) ensure that Active Scripting is set to Enable.

You can also Download the Context Menu add-in to be able to do a Go Get Me A ... search just by right clicking the mouse on any website!

Ensure the menu Tools / Preferences / Windows - Pop-Ups option is set to anything except "Block all pop-ups".
